Sahar Al Aufi is an award-winning Omani fashion designer, entrepreneur, and creative director, widely recognized for her ability to merge Arab heritage with contemporary global luxury. With over two decades of experience in haute couture, bespoke bridal, and ceremonial fashion, she has built an international reputation through her fashion houses Sahar Al Aufi and Melis, positioning Omani design on the global couture map.

Global Vision & Craftsmanship Sahar’s work is deeply rooted in Omani craftsmanship and Italian tailoring excellence. She is known for personally developing custom-made, hand-embroidered fabrics for her collections and private clients—an expertise she also offers to bridal boutiques, fashion houses, and international buyers. Her ateliers in Oman and Italy operate with a couture-level approach, combining artisanal techniques with modern construction and precision.

Sahar Al Aufi: Pioneering Global Fashion with Omani and Italian Excellence
International Presence & Industry Recognition Sahar has presented her work internationally, including participation in New York Fashion Week and leading couture bridal markets in the United States. Her designs have been worn by international figures, pageant titleholders, and brides across the Middle East, Europe, and the U.S. In November 2025, Sahar Al Aufi was selected as the official designer for Miss Europe Continental in Italy, where she created a custom-made haute couture design from her collection. Her design competed among 42 participating countries, and the Miss wearing Sahar Al Aufi’s creation achieved a Top Five placement, marking a major international recognition for Omani couture craftsmanship on a prestigious European stage.
Brand Evolution & Recent Milestones
- 1998: Founded Reflection Company, beginning her entrepreneurial journey alongside professional experience in Italy in fashion trade and manufacturing.
- 2014: Launched two fashion houses: Sahar Al Aufi (couture & bespoke) and Melis (luxury fashion lines).
- 2019: Entered the U.S. market through collaborations in Boston and New York, designing exclusive bridal gowns, groom suits, and evening-wear.
- 2024: Introduced Melis Arabia, celebrating the modern Arab woman through designs produced in Oman and Italy.
- 2025: Presented the couture collection “Desert Rose”, featuring 30 original designs inspired by Omani desert landscapes and handcrafted fabrics, showcased through a large-scale desert production.
